Your
clothes, your shoes plus all heavy and bulky items.
Don't
pack things that might break or spill
in your suitcase.

Clothes |

If you're going somewhere where you won't be able to do laundry, then
bring enough clean shirts, dresses, or pairs of pants to last the whole
trip. Pack one outfit that would keep you warm if it's colder than you
expect, and one that will keep you cool if there's a heat wave. |
| |
Jacket |
Pack
a light jacket even if you think it will be warm. If you are going skiing,
use your ski jacket as your regular jacket…for crying out loud…don’t
take two jackets! |
| |
| |
Socks
& underwear: |
Bring
one pair more than you think you'll need, just in case. Also bring a
pair of heavy socks to sleep with…it might be cold at night. And
speaking of sleeping. |

Nowadays
most airlines give you e-tickets rather than paper tickets. They send
you via e-mail your confirmation number. With this number you get a
boarding pass at the airport. Before arriving to the airport, make sure
you have handy a print out of the e-mail containing your confirmation
number. |

Swimsuit |
You
never know! Heck, bring two! |
| |
| |
Shoes |
Think
about what you will do on the trip. Will you need beach sandals or ice
skates? Will you need hiking boots, sneakers or dress shoes? |
| |
| |
Special
equipment: |
Sometimes
special equipment needs special treatment. If you bring skis or other
oversize items, check ahead with the airline to see if you can bring
them, how to check them, and where to pick them up. |
| |
| |
Soap |
| Hint! |
Wrap
a new, dry bar of soap in paper or a cloth and tuck it in with your
clothes. This will keep them smelling fresh! |
